To improve your maths ability it is important to build your basics. If your concepts are claer you can easily solve tricky questions.Take help of NCERT books for your preparation. You can also take advise from your teachers. You can join the study group as well.

Practice plays a important role in this subject. You need to give some extra time to this subject and after completing any topic solve as many as MCQs for your practice. After giving test make sure you analyze your papers. So, that you are aware of your mistakes and you don't repeat them.
