Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state level entrance exam which is conducted for admission to the Engineering courses offered by its participating institutes.

To prepare for the exam, firstly, you should know about the detailed syllabus and pattern of the exam.


Exam patern
MHT CET 2019 exam would be conducted in Online (Computer Based mode). There would be two papers in the exam (Paper 1 for Mathematics and Paper 2 for Physics and Chemistry).
Duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes for each paper.
There would be no negative marking in the exam.

Syllabus
Questions  in the exam are asked from the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 12th. Some topics will be there from Class 11th syllabus also. So candidates will have to study selected topics from Class 11th syllabus also.


Syllabus of Physics (Class 12th)-
Circular Motion, Rotational Motion, Oscillations, Gravitation, Elasticity, Electrostatics, Wave Motion, Magnetism, Surface Tension, Wave Theory of Light, Stationary Waves, Kinetic Theory of Gases and Radiation, Interference and Diffraction, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Inductions, Electrons and Photons, Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei
Semiconductors, Communication Systems.

Syllabus of Chemistry (Class 12th)
Chemical Thermodynamics and Energetic, Solid State, Electro Chemsitry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation, Solutions and Colligative Properties, Elements, p-Block elements Group 15 elements, d and f Block Elements d-Block Elements, Chemical Kinetics, Coordination Compounds, Halogen Derivatives of Alkanes (and arenes), Aldehydes, Ketones and Carbooxylic Acids, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Alcohols, Phenols and Ether Alcohol, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life,Biomolecules Carbohydrates


Syllabus of Mathematics (Class 12th)
Mathematical Logic Statements, Matrices, Pair of Straight Lines, Trigonometric Functions, Circle, Line, Conics, Three Dimensional Geometry, Vectors, Plane, Linear Programming Problems, Continuity, Applications of Derivative, Integration, Differentiation, Applications of Definite Integral, Differential Equation, Probability Distribution, Statistics, Bernoulli Trials and Binomial Distribution


Syllabus of Physics (Class 11th)
Friction in Solids and Liquids, Force, Measurements, Scalars and Vectors, Ray Optics, Magnetic Effect of Electric Current, Refraction of Light, Magnetism.


Syllabus of Chemistry (Class 11th)
States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Redox Reactions, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals), nature of Chemical Bond, Hydrogen, Basic Principles and Techniques in Organic Chemistry, Basic Principles and Techniques in Organic Chemistry, Alkanes


Syllabus of Mathematics (Class 11th)
Trigonometric Functions of Compound Angles, Factorization Formulae, Trigonometric Functions, Straight Line, Sets, Relations, and Functions, Circle and Conics, Sequences & Series, Probability


Preparation
You will have to prepare a strategy for better preparation. Make a time table for your preparation and divide your time separately for each subject.
Study the topics thoroughly and try to make your concepts clear. Take help from your teacher and never hesitate in clearing your doubts.
Study in detail about the topics and after completing any topic/unit, you should solve questions related to that topic.
Make small study notes, it will help you at the time of revision.
Also, solving previous year question paper and mock test is also very important. It will help you to know about the types of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, etc. Speed and Accuracy both are the key factors that help in scoring good marks in the exam. So, you should work on both.
After attempting mock test, you should analyze about your mistakes and work on it.
Know about your weaknessess and strengths and plan your strategy accordingly.
Study with full dedication, determination and stay positive and healthy.

Hello, I would like to suggest you with some preparation tips for MHTCET exam -

First and foremost, know the complete syllabus. Secondly know the exam pattern, which helps in understanding the marking scheme, important topics, mark wise distribution of topics, type of questions asked in the exam. Then plan your study time accordingly. Know the dates for the exam so that you can complete your studies at least one to two months before the actual exam and keep ample time for revision. Revision is must as it helps to remember well. The most important thing is also that you should go through previous years sample papers as it will help in knowing the type of frequently asked questions in the MHTCET exam
