How I handle both ias and mbbs preparation after 12th????
MBBS is pursued after your 12th whereas UPSC is an examination written after completed your Bachelor's degree, in your case MBBS. While MBBS is a 50 month course and after that you have 1 year mandatory internship period, you can certainly prepare for the Prelims which has the subjects that you have studied until your 12th.
UPSC is a 3 stage selection process involving Prelims, Mains and Interview which tests your personality test. Prelims has 2 Papers namely General Studies and CSAT.
General Studies has Current Events, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change and General Science.
CSAT has Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving, General Mental Ability, Basic numeracy and Data Interpretation.
So these are the subjects that you can prepare while studying MBBS. It will be difficult but yes it is not impossible. Study NCERT books and keep yourself updated with these topics.
Hello Aspirant,
Minimum criteria to apply for IAS is graduation from any stream so after 12th you cant apply for IAS exams.
You can go with MBBS preparation first because that is important for your career now.IAS and MBBS both needs more time to study so you cant go with both on the same time as it will create problem and both have different syllabus so it create a confusion for you .Its better you should first go with MBBS First and then if you think you are capable and can get hard for IAS then try in Last year.
