How important is HSC result to get admission for medical seats?

It's importance is far too less you can say negligible because only qualifying percentage is required from HSC and this qualifying percentage is of inclusive of only 3 subjects ie Physics Chemistry and Biology. Your HSC percentage doesn't effect your medical entrance ranks

Hi Nameera,
For NEET
The General Category need 50% marks. For Physically Handicapped is 45% and for OBC/SC/ST is 45% (PH is 40%) Also, that the marks scored for Math would not be taken into consideration in this exam.

This answer may seem a little weird but i will try to be realistic.True, that HSC marks are not so important for NEET except the fact that you need to score a minimum of 60% in Physics, chemistry, biology and english , which you will easily , i hope. But securing high marks is of no harm right? Rather they allow you to have scholarships for your study.Medical education is a costly course. Not every parents can afford money to pay.So most people continue their medical career with a SMALL(??!!) BURDEN of EDUCATIONAL LOAN.Securing marks above 85% or 90% will bring scholarship opportunity for you.The thing is that when you prepare for NEET, less than 70% marks is in general not expected from you unless you are too poor in english. So keep above things in mind and prepare accordingly.best wishes.

Hello! Minimum 50% in each HSC subject will make you eligible for NEET. That is the only importance of HSC results as far as NEET is concerned.

Hi Nameera!
Honestly speaking,it isnt directly required for medical admissions. Only your NEET score will determine your eligibility for medical seats.
However, you cannot ignore your boards, since studying for them will aslo help prepare you for NEET. Also, you can keep the board exam score as backup for other admissions if yiu change your mind. For medicine, you will have to study NCERT textbooks very thoroughly since you have HSC.
