AME or aircraft maintenance engineering is a 3 year course for maintenance engineers. It is often coupled with Btech or Bsc degrees.
AME CET 2019 is the Common AME Entrance Exam to offer admission in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course in some of the leading institutes approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India. The AME Entrance exam is of the objective pattern and is in Hindi & English medium both. On the basis of AME CET 2019 students as per their merit, participate in counselling and confirm their admission in approved AME institutions.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a license program regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation Govt. of India (Under regulation of CAR 147).The duration of AME course is tentatively 2 to 3 years.In this program students are specially trained to carryout complex maintenance process including periodical maintenance programs as per the Aircraft manufactures requirements and as per Maintenance Manual of aircraft and main objective is to have better understanding of maintenance in order to enhance safety in the field of aircraft maintenance.
