Alvas Institute of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 2008 in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technology University, Belgaum.Alvas Engineering College offers BE course of four-year duration with five specializations, MBA course with four specializations and M.Tech.

Candidates who have completed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognized Board are considered eligible to get admission to BE course.Admission to BE program is given through KCET or COMEDK-UGET.

How is alvas in terms of placements and education?

In terms of placement college duniya has rates Alva's college 8 out of 10. The good number of students got placed in IBM, EVY, Valtech, TVM, TCS etc.
