How is AMITY UNIVERSITY NOIDA for MBA.How are its placements and which branch is the best.
Amity has several business schools, AIBS, AGBS, ASB, ABS etc. Each school has different placement cell. Amity University claims to have 100% placement with an average package of approx 5.5lpa. However, there are certain rules to be eligible which we will discuss later. I am a 2nd year student from AIBS (AMITY INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL) pursuing MBA 3-continent, acedemically speaking, I am not the brightest student in my batch but still have managed to get placed in 2 companies, both having package above 5.5 lpa that's why I am quite satisfied with my decision to take admission in amity. however, one of those companies asked for early joining due to which I couldn't join and I am still waiting for a good company to come in campus for placements which generally comes in December. All in all amity has a decent placement record. Their claim of 100% placement is not a lie but a conditional truth because of eligibility criteria and certain conditions.
- Most of the students in amity are from business families who intend to join their family business after completion of their course. That takes them out of equation. Ie. >40%
- Some students want to work on their startup ideas. ~10%
- Out of the remaining 50% only students who don't have any backlogs and have cgpa above 6 are eligible and they manage to get placed with packages varying from 4 lacs to 15 lacs.
Hi Shubham, as per your query for AMITY UNIVERSITY NOIDA for MBA and it’s scope in future firstly I want to clearly inform you that every business school will display their placement reports proudly on their website. This is a proven tactic that brings in more candidates during the admissions in India for MBA courses. But in reality, the actual average package hovers around 6–7 lacs per annum, which is just about ok in the area of MBA, where you are spending a lot on your degree.
Regarding the admission procedure in the university, a student securing 80% or more marks at 10+2 level are exempted from the selection process and admission to such candidates is offered only on the basis of merit and details provided in the Amity application form.
• Amity University application form can be filled online or can be obtained from the respective university campuses on payment of INR 1100 as the application fee.
• Amity University conducts Amity JEE to offer admission in B.Tech course.
• Apart from the university-based test for admission to MBA, candidates with a valid score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT are also eligible to apply and they demand Graduation with 50% marks in aggregate for the MBA courses.
• Admission to other UG and PG courses is offered directly on the basis of Written Test as well as an English language test followed by GD or PI.

See, you will get a job irrespective of what stream you belong to. If you are happy with whatever job you get (i.e Business Development, Marketing, Sales, etc.) then you'd probably be the luckiest person. You'll get an amazing job, with a minimum package of 4LPA and may easily go up to 7.5LPA. Even higher, in certain cases. So many people get into such jobs, where the job was the priority and not the profile.
Amity might boast of 100% placements, but don't fall in that trap. There is no clear data regarding placements in Amity on their website - no break up of industry, profiles offered, etc. So there's a fairly good chance that the jobs being offered are not worthy enough to be even displayed online. Furthermore, Amity business school is not AICTE approved. In fact, the AICTE withdrew their approval from Amity post-2005, as it was found that Amity had been violating the norms and standards set by AICTE. About 2450 business schools in India are approved by AICTE, and Amity business school is NOT one of them.
Focus on learning and developing new skills and you won't have any issues on getting a good job and the best branch is decided only by your interest in the particular area in which you want to be. So first decide it yourself.
