How is chemical engineering at jadavpur university kolkata?

The introduction of Chemical Engineering in India as a distinct branch of engineering dates back to 1921 with the help of Acharya P.C. Roy and under the academic leadership of Professor H. L. Roy and Professor Baneswar Das, a course of study was offered for the first time at the Bengal Technical Institute, the predecessor of Jadavpur University. This department is one of the oldest departments in Chemical Engineering in the World. The department commemorated Diamond Jubilee in 1982 and Platinum Jubilee in 1996.
Being one of the oldest chemical engineering in the world you will have the legacy of having one of the largest alumni network. Most of the faculties are great and helpful. The department share a great bond between PG UG and PhD students. You will be offered great placement and internship opportunities. The department has its own fest “Chemathlon” organised by the second year students. It has its own cricket tournament comprising of both boys and girls. this is the experience of real student who have studied there.

Jadavpur University, Kolkata is a state university approved by UGC, AICTE, COA and NCTE. Also, it is acceriayed A grade by NAAC. And according to reviews, it's infrastructure is not so much good as it was established in 1955 and it is not renewed yet. Coming to facilities, it has good facilities but government should fund more for cleanliness of campus. Moving on to faculty, here faculty is quite helpful and experienced. Placement records are very good. Average package given by companies is around 11 to 12 lakhs which is more than efficient. And it's fee is very less, even scholarship is available. Overall it's a best engineering college in West Bengal.

Apart from this if you want to do chemical engineering from jadavpur University than it will be quite good..
Here total seats available in chemical engineering branch are 108 and total fee for four year is 9600 rupees in chemical engineering branch...
