DAV is a private university located in Jalandhar, Punjab . At present , the university offers various UG , PG and doctoral courses in field of engineering , arts , commerce, science ,etc.

Admissions to all UG and PG courses is based on candidates' performance in DAV university entrance cum scholarship test followed by counselling . Also JEE Main qualified students are eligible for B.Tech and also GATE qualified candidates for M.Tech .

At UG level , DAV offers B.tech (regular) and B.Tech(Lateral) in various disciplines .Candidates passed in 10+2 level or equivalent with Math , Physics  and Chemistry as major are eligible to apply for DAV entrance exam. The fees for B.tech is 1.29 lacs/year.

Academics is very good with highly qualified faculty with many of them having completed their PhD's .The university conducts term-end exam in the month of December(odd semester) and in April(even semester).

The college infrastructure is impressive with digital classrooms, library, gym, auditorium , ATM .It also provides transport and hostel facility. Hostel facility is separate for both girls and boys.

Many renowned companies like Amazon ,Infosys ,IBM ,ITC ,Reliance Jio ,HP ,Byjus ,Virtusa ,Airtel ,Sidel , etc. visit the campus for placements .The highest package offered this year was 10 lac per annum and the average package was 3.5 lacs per annum.

All in all it is a great place to enter for engineering students.
