How is electrical branch in delhi technical university.
Electrical Engineering is an interesting subject to pursue if you have interest in it. Talking about DTU, it is among the best colleges of the country. In Delhi, it comes in the top 3. The infrastructure, opportunities, studies etc are really good. Faculty for the EE branch consists of strict and experienced teachers. Relative marking scheme is followed in this institute.
Regarding placements for EE, they are pretty impressive with more than 75% students getting placed. Few Electrical/electronic companies and PSUs like Texas instruments, Qualcomm, IOCL etc. do visit the college and provide high packages. Your CGPA must be well maintained in the 4 years for these core placements. Rest of the EE students get placed in top softwares MNCs. The salary offered is quite higher than the ones offered in mediocre colleges(average package for EE branch is around 5-7 lakhs per annum)
You may go for it with no fear! All the best.
hey aspirant,
In terms of academics, for EE, DTU has been a profilic college.
And now, talking in terms of internships and placements. There isnt any 'core' company on campus which hires interns from EE. People sit for coding companies like Amazon, or DirectI, but the chances of EE people getting through are close to zero. There's also a lot of non tech companies which come for analyst profiles, and EE people are allowed to sit for quite a few of them.
Lastly, in terms of placements, there are few good companies, core companies, which do visit the campus for hiring, and anyone who is focussed enough in his first 3 years of college does get through. But again, these placements should not be compared to CS or IT, they are good in their own right.
Overall, more than half of the people(eligible - mo backlogs) do get placed in core/non tech companies eventually.
hope it helps.
