hey aspirant,
In terms of academics, for EE, DTU has been a profilic college.
And now, talking in terms of internships and placements. There isnt any 'core' company on campus which hires interns from EE. People sit for coding companies like Amazon, or DirectI, but the chances of EE people getting through are close to zero. There's also a lot of non tech companies which come for analyst profiles, and EE people are allowed to sit for quite a few of them.
Lastly, in terms of placements, there are few good companies, core companies, which do visit the campus for hiring, and anyone who is focussed enough in his first 3 years of college does get through. But again, these placements should not be compared to CS or IT, they are good in their own right.
Overall, more than half of the people(eligible - mo backlogs) do get placed in core/non tech companies eventually.
hope it helps.
all the best
