The infrastructure of Thapar is amazing. It provides A1 quality of accommodation and food facilities to the students. Along with that, it has great societies because of which you will never get bored in the college. You can always participate in the societies along with your studies. Ofcourse, It is easy to manage studies with a little fun in college life!

As a private university, Thapar stands the best for infrastructure at its level and has been increasing the quality and technology-based system. Hostel facilities are improving every year with M hostel being the best for boys. The library is also well-built, and any bookworm will fall in love with it.

Hey Sarah,

I am ex-student of Thapar institute of engineering and technology and I have spent my life's best of 4 years in TIET.

The Institute has 13 hostels (8 for boys & 5 for girls) with state-of-the-art facilities. The total hostel accommodation for boys is over 4800 and for girls, about 1800. This includes AC room accommodation as well in some of the hostels. The hostels are provided with all basic facilities including water coolers with water purifiers, washing machines, common TV room, common reading room, common gym, etc. Adequate dining facilities are available for all hostellers.

Hope this will help you.

Good luck.

Hello aspirant,

They are decent enough. I actually don’t know what hostels they are giving to the First Year students this time. Not sure, but some answer says that Hostels C, B, L, and FRC are being given this time. Assuming this to be correct, I can help.

  • Hostel C It is approximately 1Km from the main Academic area and nearly 250m from COS. This is the hostel you should avoid if you don’t want to mess up with your ass on your birthday. Like most hostels, privacy in Hostel C is a myth. But the student power is tremendous and you have only first year in this hostel. Try to not be the last student to occupy the room, or you shall regret.
  • Hostel B Adjacent to Hostel C, this is also equally good from what I hear. Actually, people often don’t get C and take B. It has an equally good ambience as well, but is not as densely occupied as Hostel C.
  • Hostel L This one will probably be the first one to be filled. This is an AC hostel but the food is pathetic and overpriced. Comfort comes at a cost, and you shall realize the same after you stay in this hostel.
  • Hostel FRC I doubt if they are giving this hostel to the Boys, or even to anyone for that matter. But if they give keep two things in mind. First, DO NOT take the 3 seater rooms in this hostel.  Secondly, this hostel is NOT equipped with a generator. The most spacious 2 seater rooms in Thapar are here. Also, you can live without interacting with practically every person on the floor.

It is totally your decision on which hostel to take.

Hello dear student,

Greetings !

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) is known to be one of the oldest and finest educational institutes of India. It was established in 1956 and has a campus area of 250 acres located in Patiala. TIET is known to be a pioneer in Engineering education, research, and innovation. The institute is also NAAC accredited with grade’ A+’ and has been ranked 20 th amongst the top 100 engineering institutions of India.

Comong to hostel facilities and food then it's great . If they are charging high rates as compared to normal technical institutes then they are giving good facilities and mess food. Specially the sweet dish is served daily to the students varing from rasgullas to ice creams ,halwas, chocolates and many more what a student wants in there life.

Thankyou
