Cons:-
1. Batch size- it's the biggest con of Ibs I feel that their batxh sizes are so huge (1000+) which ultimately increases the competition during placements and companies recruit more students than their requirement at lower packages than they offer in other top bschools.
2. ROI- Paying around 15 lakhs +personal expenses +loan interest (not for self financed) and getting average package of 6.5 lakhs makes someone think more than twice before joining this bschool. But ROI for others campuses is better due to their lower fee structure.
3. Initially ibs hyderabad used to be among top bschools of the country but due to their continuous increasing batch size every year, the charm of the school seems fading.
Pros:-
1. Batch size- though it's the biggest con of Ibs but somewhere it has a positive point in it. 1000+ students in one batch from all over the country makes it an amazing place to live, learn and communicate with other cultures. It's a kind of mini India residing in a 96 acres campus.
2. Placements :- though it is claimed by college that they provide 100% placement, but there are students who actually don't get placed but it's a positive point in this way that more than 250 companies visit the campus with vast profiles, packages (different for freshers and students with work ex) and students get chance to sit for many companies till he gets placed in one (Yes he can sit for 100+ companies but I think No one is that unlucky). Placement packages vary from 4lakh to 50 lakh so a student can have choice to sit for the company on his profile, package and location preferences.
3. Extra curriculum :- more than 30 clubs working 24*7 for the campus and students make it a living place. From finance club to marketing and from dance club to acting club. A student gets to explore the industry, his talent and so much among the crowd of 2000+ students In the campus.
4. Infrastructure :- the campus has highly techie infrastructure. Ac lecture theaters, auditorium, wifi, computer labs, single occupany hostel rooms, swimming pool, badminton, tennis and basketball court, cafeterias which serve from 8am to 3 am next day and many more facilities in the 96 acre campus lushed with flora.
One can get admission in IBS through IBSAT, CAT, NMAT AND GMAT.
NMAT cutoff 155+
CAT 65 Percentile
Ibsat does not have a cut off actually but if you get shortlisted, they call you for gdpi. If you want to go for ibs then make hyderabad your priority. But try for better colleges like nmims Mumbai, jbims, sibm Pune, IIMs etc. Ibs hyderabad should be a second thought if you don't get through top bschools.
