According to reviews, the placement is around 40-50% only.

I would suggest you should opt a better college as over the years, infrastructure and facilities have deteriorated (Alumni review).

Dear Vipul, It all depends on your future perspective as to what exactly you require from the B.TECH degree.If you are specifically aiming for placements then it might not be a good choice ,since the companies coming to campus are restricted and moreover the college has earned bad image in charges of corruption.Scholarship for the students was swallowed at all the managerial levels and in the end director was arrested.Else this college is a descent choice but keep all your options handly before taking any decision

The Institute of engineering anf Rural Technology, Allahabad college is average in terms of placemnt. The top companies like IERT are L&T , Hindalco , Maruti Suzuki ,Lohia inc. ,Birla Carbon etc which gives around 4-6 lacs per annum package to the deserving candidates. The 50% of candidates are placed in top companies.

There are two departments in IERT, Degree and Diploma. If you are a student of degree division, you will get about 4–6 lpa package, but if you get admission in Diploma division, you hope for 1.2–2.5 lpa package for your one year job. The top companies which give placements in IERT are L&T, Hindalco, Maruti Suzuki, Lohia inc., Birla Carbon etc. This college gives about 50% placement for its students (30 out of 60 will be surely selected). The companies starts their placement movements from December and end upto May. To get placement you must have better score in your subject exams( at least 80%) and a good practical knowledge.
