How is Information technology at hbtu kanpur?
Dear Piyush, The placements in the college happen around the year with some decent companies like Amazon, Adobe, Yatra, Flipkart, Infosys, Samsung, Reliance Jio, etc. in the CS-IT spectrum of companies. Also, companies like Maruti, Tata etc. are visiting for mechanical, paint, chemical, etc. branches, and Pidilite, Asian paints, etc. for branches like paint and plastic technology. The good thing here is the wide variety of companies visiting and likewise for the courses.
The faculty is pretty sound in all the courses they take (especially the permanent faculty), but the college may use some more teachers at their disposal as many of them stay busy in administration. The course curriculum is pretty outdated and has not been updated for the last 7-8 years. Also, getting NOC for internships is pretty difficult here, and you have to convince your HOD a lot for that.
The infrastructure, sadly, is not at par with the infrastructure in IITs or even NITs. Honestly speaking, the college is in dire requirement of funds for building better infrastructure, although recently some fund has started flowing in and the work is being done.
