Hello,
JEE mains is the kid of JEE advance and difficulty level of JEE Advanced is much higher than lots of examinations in India.A lot of people will not agree to this but apart from hardwork, a candidate must possess some talent to go through and succeed in this exam.
Questions in JEE advanced are very difficult as compared to jee mains.
Jee Mains tests your speed, memory and basic concepts while Advanced tests your core concepts , application skills, accuracy patience and depth knowledge.
I hope this helps.
Talking about the utility of both the exams, JEE Main is for admission to NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTI) across the country, whereas JEE Advanced is for entry to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
You have to clear JEE Main to be eligible for taking JEE Advanced.
The question paper of JEE Main consists only of MCQs and numerical answer type questions, whereas JEE Aadvanced, in addition to these type of questions also consists of paragraph based questions, matrix matching questions as well as multiple answer MCQS.
Difficulty wise, JEE Advanced is more difficult than JEE Main.
