Manufacturing Science and Engineering is the production of goods for the use or sale by using labor and machines, tools, chemical, and biological processing or formulation. Bachelor of Manufacturing Science and Engineering is offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Manufacturing is the filed of engineering that deals with the different practices of manufacturing i.e the research and development of tools, processes, machines, and types of equipment. Manufacturing engineers usually develop those skills that span many engineering disciplines with the eye focusing on their expertise in the manufacturing process. Manufacturing Science and Engineering is the branch of engineering that focuses on the capability to plan how manufacturing takes place, to research and develop tools, and processes. It also attempts to combine the facilities and systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital. The students pursuing this course get an understanding of how mechanical components interact. The core curriculum of Manufacturing Science and Engineering mainly deals with mechanical engineering and the basics of industrial engineering.

It also has a few specialized courses that assist a student to understand the technicalities and complexities of manufacturing processes. Apart from the generalized mechanical engineering laboratory courses, few of the laboratory courses are customized just for the branch of manufacturing science and engineering. 3. Some scholarships are specifically offered to female students. Students can also avail of the bank loan facility available at SBI COEP branch.
4. Students are graded relative to the performance of other students and a grade is awarded accordingly. The weighted average of these grades is then the semester grade point average of the student.
5. A cumulative grade point average is calculated taking into account the past and present performance of the student.

The manufacturing Science and engineering Btech undergraduate course at COEP ( College of Engineering Pune) is a full time 4 years course with a fee structure of Rs.3.39 lakhs for general category ,Rs. 16.05K for SC , Rs.16.05 K for ST and Rs. 1.75 lakhs for OBC .

It accepts MHT CET entrance exam .
