Placements:First every one has to complete compulsory rotary internship after which they are awarded the bachelor's degree. Then there is a government bond which students have to fulfil for one year working in government institution. Then they can prepare for post graduate entrance examination and once they get admission it is easy to clear.
Internships:
Yes one year rotary internship is provided to those who pass final year. Also externship is provided to those from other colleges. Stipend is INR 6000/month. Internship is highly rigorous and tiring but you get to learn a lot and becoming a good doctor is highly dependent on going through such an experience.
Loan / Scholarship:JRD Tata scholarship is for those students scoring 65 percent and above in their exam. It gives full refund of the current year's fees as scholarship. This is really a good scholarship and hassle free procedure to apply online. I have no knowledge of any loans availability however.
Grant Medical College is a very old medical college of Maharashtra with great patient inflow and very good infrastructure. The college has some great professors who are nationally aclaimed. All these factors provides a great scenario for performing PG studies. Moreover being the last referral centre in the state and nearby states, you too see many interesting rare cases. So, this is also a factor to be considered.
