College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University is one of the oldest and prestigious institutes of India. No doubt, faculties are extremely meritorious and experienced as it is an old college. Placements and job opportunities for Mechanical Engineers are pretty good. Average salary offered is around 3.5 lakhs. Many high profile companies like Larsen & Turbo, Parkson etc visit the campus. The college also offers internship opportunities in various companies.
