Hello dear!
You have to keep in mind that MUJ is a new university and many top companies have this requirement that they only hire students from a uni once first two batches of students have passed out
Also, core branches always see placement offers which can not be compared with that of CSE IT etc but in the long run, you will progress much faster. That is why everyone in Mech, Civil and EEE are always looking out for a job in a core company.
We have seen some decent placements in Mech where the top offer was from Kirloskar Pneumatics pune, which for around 5 lacs per annum. Rest were average.
Once you graduate from an engg college, you join a core company as a GET ( Graduate Engineer Trainee) and are promoted to Engineer or Senior Engineer on completion of 12 years in the company. This marks the beginning in the growth of your package and then there is no looking back.
but MUJ gives ample opportunity to do much more during your 4 years of college than just worry about placement.
