How is m.tech from DTU mech engg. Branch... Plzz tell me
Respected mam,
It depends!
on what?
1.
where have you done btech from?
i personally had done btech from a very very bad engineering college though my schooling was good. so to get a tag of DTU or you can say to remove the earlier tag i did my mtech from DTU.
2.
is placement your goal?
this is for CS/IT people only. depending upon where you have done your btech and what your personal skills are see if you can explore all the possibilities of getting a good offer. if you cannot, get into DTU. for other branches i am doubtfu;
3.
is research your goal?
dont expect much from teachers. resources are enough. seniors may help you. but teachers... they will be there to support your back.. umm.. and thats all
4.
is degree your goal?
then DTU is good. DTU has a good name.
5.
what are your other options?
i ll say mtech from DTU is equivalent to mtech from other good NITs. if you are put up in delhi then choose DTU else the nearest good NIT. and never go for a private college against a govt one.
6.
is teaching your goal?
DTU is good. try to get absorbed there or get admission into ph.d just after mtech. or else if you want to go somewhere else you will have ample time to prepare for JRF/NET etc etc
note
- hostel facility, food, location of the campus, library everything else is good. study environment is too good.
Dear Sadhana,
Yes, it provides good placements in mechanical branch but not compare to CSE branch.
You need to work hard for the good placements which is applicable for all the colleges as there is tough competition.
According, to careers 360 DTU has AAAA+ ratings which means outstanding.
Ratings are based on Faculty, Placements, Cut-offs of national / state level Entrance exams, Accreditation and Reward status and Publication record from Elsevier’s indexing database - Scopus.
In, NIRF Ranking it is in 39th position.
Good Luck!!
