How is NIT rourkela food process engineeeing??

Food processing is a new branch , only 3Yr old , so nothing much can be said about its placement statistics.
But in terms of faculty, Infrastructure and research facilities it is well equipped.
Newer branches should not be considered futile and useless, rather it should be taken as an opportunity to explore, since new branches like Food Processing are emerging to be fresh avenues in employment sector and research activities . Companies like Hindustan Unilever limited, Dabur , Britannia and other prominent Food industries are in need of qualified Food Processing engineers. So in terms of employment and placement we can safely assume that this newly evolved branch would definitely shine like other branches at NIT Rourkela.
