NIT Silchar was ranked 46th among all engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework ( NIRF ) in 2020.
It is one of the leading institution of India for CSE and has a high ratio of placements.
Placements are good . Almost 100% placement happens for the complete batch and 100% sure happens in CSE branch.

- Microsoft etc.
The salary statistics -
The highest salary package offered is 23 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA and the average salary package offered is 7.8 LPA.
