How is Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur in terms of environment, hostel facility, food, and clinical exposure? college life, people/ type of students, college administration, library facilities, college timings, students per room, bathrooms, hospitals etc.?
Greetings,
This answer is based on peer reviews and general ratings of the college as per current students.
- Environment:
The student body is pretty active and the college has various different celebrations throughout the year, organized and managed by the students themselves. So the student culture is pretty well established and happening.
- Hostels:
As per the current students, hostels are not that great in terms of maintenance and quality, bathrooms are separate and not attached, rooms are average sized.
- Clinical exposure:
The hospital itself is not that reputed but naturally is crowdy. You won't find career changing or mind influencing medical cases or exposure but you will definitely get to learn and contribute there.
- Library is average, almost all academically necessary books are there but otherwise updated editions of international level medical books and journals are lacking. it is open 24/7 supposedly.
- Academics:
Teachers a hit or miss (some great, some average) but they are responsive and will help those who seek them out.
Infrastructure:
overall, the campus is big but lack of maintenance is apparent everywhere. Some structures and places like sports grounds and parking spaces are old and weary.
hope this gave you some level of clarity, sorry for the lack of more detailed info.
Good luck!
