How is the accommodation at IIMA?
Hello,
Hope you are doing great!
This is applicable only for on-campus FDP. The regular on-campus FDP is cancelled for the year 2020.The programme is fully residential and participants are required to stay in the furnished AC accommodation on campus.
Almost all accommodations are single. Few may be on sharing basis. Permission to stay outside the campus is not usually granted; only under very exceptional circumstances will participants be allowed to stay outside.
Participants will dine at the students' mess which offers a mix of north Indian and south Indian cuisine. While the cuisine is predominantly vegetarian, non-vegetarian food is also available three to four times a week.
There are 25 student dormitories in total, with a total capacity of 740 students. Each floor of the dorms has ten single rooms that are very spacious and well-furnished. Students can also choose to share a room. The dorms have a TV, a refrigerator, a fan, and a washing machine. Food prepared in shambles is safe and sanitary. Students are served both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
The college's campus is very large, and the infrastructure is excellent, with AC classrooms, wifi, a library, dorms, an auditorium, labs, health care centers, and so on. We have a library called the Vikram Sarabhai Library, which is well-stocked with approximately 2 lakh books, 393 theses, more than 3 lakh e-books, approximately 30,000 eJournals, and so on. Students organise clubs such as the Economics club, the Environmental club, the Movie club, the Nature club, the Marketing club, and so on. Sports are also encouraged at the college, and we have facilities for football, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, chess, and cricket, among other things. IIMA hosts an annual cultural festival called Chaos.
All the best!
Hope it will help!
Thank you!
