How is the best 4 calculated in DU for BA Hons Psychology and BA Hons Applied Psychology?

Eligibility Criteria and Combination of Subjects for Calculation of Merit for B.A.(Hons.)
Applied
Psychology and B.A.(Hons.) Psychology is as folllows:
- Candidate should have an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects specified in List A and List B of the Information Bulletin released by the University. So, to calculate best four, one language and three subjects from the List A and List B (which is mentioned in the information bulletin) will be considered.

For both BA Hons Psychology as well as BA Hons Applied Psychology the best 4 are calculated as
One Language (Core/Elective/Functional) For Ex: English.
After that you can select any three elective subjects with a Deduction of up to 5 % on ‘Best of Four’ percentage incase the aspirant changes the stream to BA , from Commerce or Science stream to Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences.
Also, the subjects included for the calculation of ‘Best Four’ need to have at least 70% theory component . In case, the subject to be considered does not have 70% theory component, then the marks of theory and practical only shall be converted to 70% and 30%.
