It's average.  I am a student of HIT.  If we talk about placement in core branches like civil,  mechanical,  it's not good.

Most of the students from core branch place in the IT companies. And very few in core companies. To get in core company,  you have to work hard starting from first day.  You wouldn't find all the faculties very helpful though some are. Core company offer more package compare to IT company,  but they take really less number of students.
