Yes. VIT Vellore is well reputed college. University is ranked in 1st place in Vellore, Tamil nadu. VIT is a private ownership. To get admission into the college you need to crack entrance examination. Entrance examination depends on the course you choose. Faculty of the College is very good and well supportive.
