Departments have a handful of good professors while there are some who shouldn't ever be allowed to teach as they manage to reduce our interests in a few subjects to 0 or even below that. Classrooms for a few departments tend to be amazing while for others it is not. All classrooms do have projectors in them. While talking about the condition of the facility we should know that JU charges it's students about 200 rupees per month. Yes that is true. Jadavpur is mostly presented as a boiling pot of student politics where everyone gets involved in politics. That is completely untrue. Getting involved in politics is completely up to oneself and no one is forced to join. The relations between juniors and seniors is wonderful and they are always there to help you with anything during your college days and after. The afternoons are magical. Post lab addas about anything and everything while sitting in the field and the sky slowly changing it's colour is an experience dear to every student of Jadu-bonksho ( students to Jadavpur like IITians ) Placements in Jadavpur University is really good with about 90% placements in UG. Very many reputed company do come for full time engineer as well as internships. There is always a good bunch of students every year going off for higher education either within India or abroad. Research environment in Jadavpur is really good which gives it a spot in MHRD rankings. Jadavpur University has it's flaws but overall it offers everyone an amazing experience of growing up. It has one of a kind environment which one doesn't find anywhere and will always be eager to come back for. JU is not only a college,it is an experience which you will never forget in your life.
