The infrastructure is not as elite as the centrally funded NITs or IIITs, as it is funded by state government, the fees also being nominal (20000 in four years). When it comes to placement, the placement scenario is quite good, both in software and core companies of respective departments. An immense scope of research, and at the same time all round development, JU has quite a good placement ratio as well, and has produced academically sound students with quite a few number of single digit and double digit ranks, 4 under 10 ranks in GATE 2018 to be precise. Being from JU, I can personally assure that it is one of the elite most institutes of the country and has been proved so in NAAC rankings as well.
