School of engineering CUSAT topped in employability test conducted by MHRD in India. According to the study 74%of the students are employable. Many big brand companies visit the campus for recruitment. Large number of students are recruited from the campus alone. As a TEQUIP phase III institute, it provide large find and facilities for students who pursue internship and researches. Entrepreneurship is well promoted in the campus.
A majority of the organizations who come to hire, are often considered as mediocre companies which pay considerably less at the initial stages. The arrears a student has, has a direct impact on the placements he can appear. More placements follow afterwards, but the best ones always ask for high merits and no history of backlogs, both of which are quite difficult in the college.
The different companies that come for placement are Tata consultancy services, infosys, wipro, ibm, l&t, etc. The all provide a package of almost 3-5 ctc. TCS provided a cts of 3.2 lpa. Wipro, infosys also had the same etc.
