Chemical engineering is a branch that is chosen by most of the people now a days. Chemical engineers not only work in laboratories but also in offices. Chemical engineers monitor in areas like industrial plants, refineries etc.
The industries that employ chemical engineers are
1. Food manufacturing units
2. Health care industries
3. Petroleum and coal manufacturing industry
etc.
The freshers can expect an amount of 30,000-35,000/- per month. The salary will be always proportional to amount of work and experience.

Though the number of jobs in India for chemical engineers are limited but still as the number of chemical engineers in India is very low as compared to other core branches such ME, EE, ET, CE etc therefore there are plenty of oppurtunities for all the students.
