Hello Sekharababu..

Thanks for contacting Careers360..

VIT-AP, Amaravati doesn’t care about you once you get inside the building. It cares about you when it needs to free your pockets off some load. If you are looking to “enjoy” college life, go to any other college which charges less than half of VIT, you will enjoy more of it. Let’s do bullet points, shall we?

  • Wifi buses: LIE.
  • Hostel rooms: They currently keep us in secluded apartments where the security guards come running to you every morning and keep screaming something in Telugu and the busses become a band and do some early morning EDM concert. I wonder why our neighbours don’t get bothered. Or do they? VIT has this special way of hiding things from the public, you wouldn’t notice if someone died and rot in the hostels. The new ones? Well, let’s just assume, you are better off living in a prison cell, or a Tata Nano, you are going to get more leg space.
  • Faculty: 90% of them have NO INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE at all. Some come around with ZERO teaching experience. Trust me, if you want to learn something from the college, YOU CANNOT and WILL NOT. If you want to learn something by yourself- YOU CANNOT and WILL NOT. The “University” won’t let you do your own study, they don’t care. All they care about is the 100% placement streak they need to maintain so that they can get more investors and more rich brats like you. Oh, and some faculties might get their ego hurt and try to ruin your life.
  • Cellular network: None, your battery shall die everytime you do the 1 hour journey from your hostels. The college is in the middle of nowhere.
  • Location: Around the college, in a place far far away, there is NOTHING. You have to ride a vehicle for at least 30 minutes to get somewhere. You don’t even have shops around. Not even water. It’s like a minimal version of Mars. Also, in the college- there is NOTHING. Two buildings, 1 half constructed building and polluted air and barren land. You can start farming if you feel like. THERE IS NOWHERE TO GO. NOWHERE TO ESCAPE.
  • Food: They don’t care about what kind of food you like, they ask for feedback and make the same creamy poop everyday.
  • Health care facilities: Well, let’s just say you are being treated by some students who failed the medical entrance exam coming to your rescue and you are going to rest your life on their hands. If you are scared of injections, please don’t go around asking for medicines for a mild loose motion, or a paper cut- you are going to get injected with the same thing anyway. EVERYTIME. If they can’t fix your issues (which they never can), they will send you to a hospital far off from the college, good luck if you get a snake bite, the bumps on the road will kill you before the poison. And if that doesn’t do the job, the second injection (or third) in the hospital will. You are still alive? Now good luck dealing with the bill. One of my friend was charged more than Rs. 800 for mild cold.
  • Exams: Imagine this: 5 huge topics in the syllabus which gets covered exactly one day before the exam. Zero preparatory leaves. YOU HAVE TO ATTEND COLLEGE EVERY FUCKING DAY. Every fucking class. 80% attendence necessary and is not a hoax. You are better off doing school once again. Then, on the day of the exams, you have two exams a day, you sit for your exams in Saturday, Sunday, Monday. So, you ruin the holidays, yes. They don’t care. They restart the classes right from Tuesday.
  • Hostel life: Don’t even get me started, you come to the hostel only to sleep for a few hours. You parents are some big ass security guards, who keep screaming in Telugu. You can’t celebrate someone’s birthday. Oh, you cannot even order online stuff, they will check for weed in your amazon packaging.
  • Variety: No girls, very sexist. Dominated by Telugus.
  • Fests: You will be put into the illusion of doing a “Fest” when you will be allowed to bunk classes to work on the fest, and then you won’t be given attendence unless you beg
