The candidate should have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of the admission
Candidate born on or after 2 January 2002 will not be eligible to apply
There is no upper age limit mentioned.

Candidate applying for AIIMS MBBS 2018 should have passed Class 12 under the 10+2 scheme / CBSE or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination of a recognized University/Board with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects.

Candidates who are appearing for their Class 12 Board examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE) as main subjects and expect to pass the examination are also eligible to apply. However, their candidature will only be considered if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks.

Candidates who have appeared for the examination of an Indian University or of a foreign/university that is equivalent to the Class 12 exam under 10+2 scheme/Intermediate Science Examination, will have to produce a certificate from the concerned Indian University/Association of the Indian Universities.
