Madhya Pradesh has a strong presence in postgraduate (PG) education across various medical institutions, both government and private. There are approximately 1272 PG seats in government medical colleges in the state, spread across institutions like Gandhi Medical College (Bhopal), Gajra Raja Medical College (Gwalior), and MGM Medical College (Indore), among others. Additionally, there are 32 PG seats in DNB courses offered by various district hospitals and specialized institutions.

In the private sector, medical colleges like Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (Indore) and Peoples College of Medical Sciences (Bhopal) offer around 726 PG seats collectively.
