Hello aspirant,

Within the field of internal medicine, cardiology focuses on conditions affecting the heart and circulatory system. The topic covers a wide range of illnesses, including hypertension, CAD (coronary artery disease), hereditary heart abnormalities, heart failure, and valve problems. Cardiologists are medical professionals that specialize in the treatment of heart conditions.
Although there isn't a unique undergraduate course for cardiology, in order to be able to enroll in postgraduate cardiology courses, a person must complete their 5.5 years of M.B.B.S.

Hello,

Becoming a cardiologist requires completing a Bachelor's degree, followed by medical school and a residency in cardiology. It takes around 12-15 years of education and training to become a cardiologist. So in order to become a cardiologist, you would need to earn a Bachelor's degree, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. So, it's two degrees in total.
