how many goverment seats are available in Karnataka to study MBBS through NEET exam???

In Karnataka, there are around 57 medical colleges. The Karnataka MBBS conducts around 85% of the state quota which consists of 6577 seats in medical colleges out of which 596 are reserved for NRI students. Following is the count of seats for particular categories:

• Govt quota general :- 2950 seats
• Govt quota Hyd-Kar:- 739 seats
• Govt quota special category:- 261 seats
• NRI quota:- 591 seats
• Private quota:- 1295 seats
• Other quota:- 186 seats

1. All India quota
2. State quota

AIQ NEET is 15% and remaining 85% is State- wise quota. This state quota seats of Karnataka state are 6577 including 596 seats for NRIs.

There are approximately 6577 MBBS seats  available for Karnataka State Counselling. Amongst these approximately 3947 seats are Government Medical College seats. The rest are Private Medical Colleges. 15% seats from all Government Medical Colleges are allotted to Central Pool for All India Counselling. This 6577 seats are spread across all Categories following the Constitutional laws.
