There are 280 top medical colleges in India approved by MCI (Medical Council of India)  . Making total of 42,565 MBBS seats. And there are 64 PG institutes in India.
However , this number changes from time to time due to other organizations (UGC) approve it.

There are 474 top medical colleges in India approved by MCI (Medical Council of India) and 467 have the approval of UGC. Making total of 31,727 MBBS seats.

There are 542 medical colleges and 64 stand alone PG Institutes in India whose qualifications are recognised by the Medical Council of India. Whereas Karnataka has most of Medical College of India. According to the official MCI (Medical Council of India),There are 280 Govt. Medical MBBS Colleges in India, which will offer total 42,565 government seats in 2020, in which you will be able to take admission through NEET UG 2020 score.
