As per your query let me tell you that The Department of Higher Education, Assam has simplified the fee waiver for college students the annual income of whose parents are less than Rs 2 lakh. It has come to the notice of the State Government that students have to face harassment in their respective circle offices to get their parents' annual income certificates issued. Apart from long queues, there are allegations of charging more money than the required fees in certain areas while issuing parents' income certificates.
