Dear Bijoy,
There is nothing called passing marks in NEET Exam. In NEET, it is qualifying marks rather which is 50th percentile for general category and 40th percentile for reserved categories. So, in your case it is 40th percentile.
Although knowing the minimum marks is a good thing but never set your targets for such low marks. Always aim for something big !
Aim for around 550 marks. And no one will be able to stop you from getting your dreams.
Best of luck !
The NEET cut off varies from year to year, state to state and as well as college to college. It also depends on the Quota you are applying through as well as the Category of Admission. Government and Private Colleges have cut-offs of their own.
Assuming you are applying through the 15% All India Quota under SC Category for a Calcutta National Medical College, the cut-off for NEET 2017 was Rank 22822 which corresponds to a score of approximately 500 marks out of 720.
This year, as competition gets tougher every year, you must focus on getting a score above 500 to ensure a seat in a good Government Medical College, unde SC category.
