Hello

The NEET cutoff for admission is different from state to state and from college to college- also it changes every year. So it would be difficult to predict the safe marks range. There are two cutoffs published- one for 85% state quota seats and the other for 15% AIQ seats. The cutoffs are released category wise. Well, for afmissadm for 85%  state quota seats, your NEET score should be minimum 520-40+ if you're a general category candidate and 480-500+ if you belong to a reserved category. This marks range will do to get admission in a government medical college. Whereas under 15% AIQ seats, minimum of 550-60+ (UR) marks are required to get a government college (the score range may go high depending upon the college you want) and atleast 540+ for reserved category. Through NEET the mentioned marks range will help you to get admission in a good college for MBBS course.

Hiiii Pracymol!!!! To get admission in NEET for MBBS, you will need to score a minimum marks ranging approximately at 550+ for government colleges. This marks is based on the previous years' trend. Though the marks may change as it depends on various factors. But to be safe try to score around 550+.

There are around 450 Government Medical Colleges across India. These are distributed all over the States. There is All India Quota and State Quota which means 15% of seats in All Government Medical Colleges will go to All India Pool leaving 85% for Domicile candidates. Then there is 27% reservation for OBC, 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST. Then there is 5% horizontal reservation for PWD. Now every candidate has to qualify in NEET based on his/her category. It is 50% for General Category, 40% for SC,ST,OBC. It is 50% and 40% of top NEET score. With 15 lakh students appearing for NEET for approximately 60,000 Medical seats, no seat can be handed with least NEET score. Every Government college will have its own cut off for various categories. Tamilnadu is one of the States which has highest NEET cut offs given the reputation of the colleges and no.of candidates applying. Depending on the State you belong to, you can claim All India Quota and State Quota. For General Category, the last year minimum cut off was 119. But not every qualified candidate gets a medical seat. Anything less than 450-500 will not get you a Medical seat if you are from General Category.
