Hi Akanksha!

First of all, you need to know the eligibility criteria for Telangana MBBS 2019:

  • A candidate should be an Indian citizen or Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) cardholder and should satisfy the local or non-local status in Telangana.
  • One must be a local or non-local candidate of Telangana
  • Local Candidate - Such aspirants will be eligible for 85% state quota seats and 15% All India Quota seats as well. He/she must fulfill the following conditions.
  • Students who have studied/resided in a local area for a period of not less than four years and the last year should be of passing Class 12 examination.
  • If the candidate has studied in the two or more local areas for seven consecutive years and the last year of qualifying Class 12, then the area in which he/she had stayed the most number of years will be considered.

If an applicant had stayed an equal number of years out of the seven consecutive years, then the last stayed area will be considered.

  • Non Local Candidate -  There will be 15% of seats available for non-local students. These seats are unreserved therefore local area candidates can also take admission. It is mandatory for the aspirant to be a resident of Telangana for a period of 10 years.
  • Candidates should have passed their Class 12 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English to be eligible for Telangana MBBS admission 2019.
  • It is important for the unreserved category to secure 50% in Class 12 or equivalent exam, while reserved category students must have obtained 40% taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or English.
  • Aspirants must be born between May 7, 1994, to January 1, 2003, to be eligible for Telangana MBBS admission 2019.
  • The minimum qualifying NEET cutoff 2019 must be secured by aspirants.

The min. qualifying NEET cutoff 2019 is mentioned below:

1) GENERAL Category: 50 percentile

2) SC/ST/OBC Category: 40 percentile

TELANGANA MBBS Seat Reservation 2019:

Social reservation: Backward classes-C: 1%
