Currently percentile system is applicable in JEE Mains. But considering in past year. It depends on the difficulty level of the exam. The harder exam is the lower the cutoff will be. So you can't decide at what minimum marks you can get NIT. But for an instance score better so minimum won't matter. If you wise for CSE perform better. If chemical engineering, Metallurgy is good for you then it is slightly easier to get into good NIT.
