Hello Aspirant,
See there is no any fixed minimum marks for admission to any of the NITs as the seats are allotted on the basis of rank secured in JEE-Main so with general category you need to have your CRL rank under 4000-5000 for top NITs and for average NITs you should secure at least under 20000 depending upon the branch that you aspiring for.
Tthe qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2022 the final result will be released after all two attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Dear Student,
If you are wishing for getting admission to any of the National Institute of Technology then you must focus on your studies rather than bothering about the minimum marks to qualify the exam, as soon as we know about the minimum marks our target to achieve marks get down to minimum marks, but if you want to take admission in a particular NIT then you must set a target to score more and more marks as you can.
If you want what are the minimum marks required to get admission in NITs, then it is not possible to predict as it depends on various factors and ranking is opted according to it.
Some factors are like:
- Difficulty of Examination
- No. of seats at Institutes
- Mort Important is the relative marking of students and many more.
But we can conclude a rough idea of marks by comparing previous year data of marks and ranking of JEE Mains, hence according to some previous year data students needs to secure at least 90 or above percentile.
here is the brief information on category wise
Category Percentile
- OPEN 88
- EWS 68
- OBC 67
- SC 48
- ST 35
- PwD 5
So if you secured more than 90-92 percentile then you may get a seat at NITs, also if you secured more than 96 percentile then you might get admission in your desired college.
