How many marks are required to get a seat in j&k for PH
Answer (1)
Dear Divu, Jammu and Kashmir doesnt have any All India Quota and hence almost every NEET aspirant will compete in State Eligibility Quota. And PWD reservation is horizontal and not vertical. Based on your category whether you belong to General Category PH/SC-PH/ST -PH/OBC-PH, the marks range vary. So the category you belong to makes a big difference in the required marks. For example, if you beong to General Category PWD, you need 45% of the top NEET score to be qualified. For example, if the Top NEET score is 600 you should score a minimum of 270 to be qualified in NEET. And if you belong to SC/ST/OBC PWD, you need 240 to be qualified. Having said that not every qualified candidate can get a medical seat. Cut off depends on various factors like no. of candidates appearing in the exam, no. of seats available, Top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hence Cut off chamges every year. In 2017, the cut off for General Category PWD was 130-118 and for SC/ST/OBC PWD, it was 130-107. However, in 2016, it was 213-210. But in 2018, for General Category PWD, it was 474 - 131, OBC - PWD it was 510 - 118, SC - PWD, it was 415-118 and for ST-PWD, it was 339-118. So based on your category, your marks should be 50-75 more than stated here for 2018.
