how many marks are required to get CSE in NITs for EWS category All India Quota?
Hello Aspirant,
See different NITs have different closing ranks for CSE branch but if we go for rough idea then EWS category candidate should score at least 180-200 marks in JEE-Main out of 300 marks in JEE-Main 2021. Now, let us get cleared with an example, so as we go through the latest cut-offs of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for NIT Warangal was 236 for CSE branch in NIT Warangal under Other state quota for EWS category. Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2021 score at least 185 marks out of 300 and percentile against this is expected to be in the range of 99.5-100 .

Hi
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in nit as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
Let us take the case of NIT Trichy which is the best NIT
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for ews category to get computer science engineering , 153 was ews closing rank under open state quota in nit trichy
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
And 153 ews rank is around 2000 general rank i. e around 190-200 marks ,for this you can refer to our page, the link for the same is provided below
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
So, try to get at least 200 marks in your jee main 2021 , though in other lower NITs you can also get a seat with around 150 marks for computer science engineering being from ews category
Now,
limited time is left for jee mains 2021 , so focus on your preparation, to prepare well for your jee examination, go through chapters first and your focus should be on grasping concepts , practising questions and then revising them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.
