NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
As per your query about marks cutoff.. I would like to tell you it varies every year... It depends on lots of factors like difficulty level of paper and number of students getting that mark etc... It will be different for Government, Private and Deemed medical colleges.... Also it will differ you applying from All india quota 15% or State quota 85%... Cut off of state quota is usually lower than all india quota.... Now in each of these quota its further divided into categories like OPEN/SC/ST/OBC..... Etc..
SRM and JLN both are private medical college. To get a admission in both college you need to score 550+
Hope it helps

On general guidelines you must be scoring above 550 to 600 for admission to government medical colleges why the 15% all India quota and a score of 480 to 520 to get into decent government colleges of medical science availing the 85% state quota reservation
So to be on a safer side you should aim for a score of above 5:50 so that you can keep all options open and choose the college which you want to at the subsequent round of counselling
Prepare yourself well working on your time management and questions election skills by giving repeated mock examination and strengthen yourself in the domains of mechanics, optics, Thermodynamics and circuit based problems from modern physics and electromagnetics, co-ordinate and covalent bonding from ionic and physical chemistry as well as molar equivalents, from organic chemistry usually stress upon reaction mechanics of carbonyl compounds and nomenclature of organic compounds
Make flow diagrams and tables on the phylogenetic classification main characters of chapters in botany, zoology and the life cycle of microbiology and aspects of biotechnology
Start your day with numericals, dedicate 4 to 5 hours of Biology in the afternoon and after some rest and your day with organic or inorganic chemistry
Hope the idea helps thank you
Aim for a score above 500 to keep yourself on the safer side.
For getting into a government medical college, that too under All India 15% quota, the competition is immense and the cut off scores are only soaring higher up the score board every year. A score above 560 should be your target to have some certainty regarding your selection into any government medical college.
To get into a govt. A score of about 550 would be safe.
All the very best
Hope it helps
The minimum criteria for passing NEET is 50 percentile for General category and 40 percentile for Reservation categories. Percentile is different from percentage
In 2016, when I gave NEET, 50th percentile was around
110-115/720. You also cannot guarantee a medical seat if you cross this mark, since 90% of the candidates will.
After the 1st and 2nd counseling by the state government, for 85% quota the following counselling process is conducted by the respected pvt. colleges apart from self financed colleges.
The above mentioned colleges are private institutions. One needs to apply for that particular college and rank list is based on the applicants. Various factors are to be considered here; fee structure, quality of education since you are paying a hefty amount to study.
In order to get admission into govt. Medical colleges, one must score minimum 530-540. Always aim high

Hello,
The eligible marks are usually prescribed by these institutions from time to time. I suggest you have a little patience as the official minimum marks are not yet released for 2018 admission.
