Hello Aspirant! If you're from General category, you need at least 85 percentile to be on the safe side, that is 90+ marks overall. If you're from SC/ST category, you don't need to worry much as 60-70 percentile will work well for you to get a seat in any government college.

See there is no any minimum marks required to be eligible for admission in NITs or any government engineering colleges for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are a General candidate and wants to get into any government engineering college like NITs then you should at least try for 98+ percentile in JEE-Main 2022 and for state government engineering colleges, 80-85 percentile will also be the decent score .
