It depends upon your rank and if your rank is under 25k there is a chance to get a chance in Govt Engineering college.  You should also be careful about Decentralized Counselling or Spot councelling for vacant seats.

The eligibility criteria for admission in government colleges which accept scores of WBJEE states that a minimum of 45 percent aggregate marks is required by the students in their higher secondary examinations (for General category) and 40 percent (for obc and sc/st category students). For admission in Jadavpur University, the cutoff list (rank Wise) as per trend in 2019 were as follows :

Information technology - 305
Production engg - 1146
Chemical engg - 863
Civil engg - 1193
CSE - 107
