For being eligible to write the jee advanced entrance exam you need to first qualify in the jee main entrance test. Just to compare or to give you an idea the jee main qualification cutoff for the st category was 44.3%.
The marks cannot be decided accurately with respect to the percentile . The rank will be decided on the percentile and also in advanced there will be a subject wise cutoff you need to clear all the three subjects cutoff to be eligible to get admission into iit's .
